Komashi

The Faithful Companions of Myoo

Gurenma

The komashi are the most common riding animals throughout the lands of Myoo and have served travelers, soldiers, merchants, and Mages for centuries. Strong, resilient, and sure-footed across even the harshest terrain, they are bred in every kingdom and remain essential for travel and the transport of both people and goods.

Powerfully built and gifted with exceptionally keen senses, komashi form deep bonds with their caretakers. They can recognize them from remarkable distances and follow them with unwavering loyalty. According to ancient tradition, some are even believed to sense the presence of magic.

Their most distinctive feature is the glowing crescent moon that marks each flank, the symbol of the Wind Spirits. Many scholars regard it as evidence of the profound connection between the komashi and the ancient natural forces that flow through Myoo, though the true origin of this mark remains a mystery.

In battle, komashi are prized for their courage. They do not shy away from fire or magic, pressing forward even in the most perilous situations—a quality that has made them indispensable to the armies of Myoo's kingdoms.

Komashi are far more than beasts of burden. They are loyal companions, sharing long journeys, fierce battles, and a lifetime beside those who care for them. To this day, they remain among the most treasured and respected creatures in all of Myoo.
