Magic Denwa Orbs

The Artifact That Revolutionized Communication Across Myoo

Magic Denwa Orbs

Magic Denwa Orbs are among the most important and widely used artifacts in the history of Myoo. Developed during the Third Era through the work of Mage Priest Denwarin, they transformed communication across the continent, allowing people separated by vast distances to speak with one another without the need for messengers or long journeys.

Crafted from lumenite, a mineral found throughout Myoo and used by the Empire’s mages for centuries, Magic Denwa Orbs operate through the principle of magical resonance.

A newly created Sphere cannot be used immediately. Before it becomes functional, it must be attuned to its bearer. The process resembles tuning a musical instrument. The Sphere is held in both hands, and a green glow confirms that the bond has been forged.

From that moment on, the Sphere recognizes only a single resonance: that of the person to whom it is attuned. Every living being leaves a unique imprint within Myoo’s magical flow, and the Sphere learns to recognize it without fail. For that reason, it can be attuned to only one person at a time.

Communication begins by speaking the full name of the person you wish to contact. The Magic Denwa Orb interprets the bearer’s intent and searches the magical flow for a matching resonance. If another Sphere attuned to the intended recipient exists, a resonance bridge forms between them. Only then can communication take place.

A Magic Denwa Orb may be loaned to another person, but only within strict limits. Its bond with the original bearer remains intact. The Sphere allows temporary use by someone else for up to twenty-four hours. During that time, the borrower may initiate communications, but the Sphere continues to recognize the original owner as its primary reference. Once the twenty-four-hour period expires, the artifact automatically rejects any further attempts to use it.

If the Sphere is to be permanently transferred to another person, it must first be disassociated. This process dissolves the existing resonance bond, erases the original bearer’s imprint, and returns the Sphere to a neutral state. Only then can a new attunement be performed.

To disassociate a Magic Denwa Orb, simply hold it in one hand and tap its surface twice. The Sphere glows red for a brief moment, confirming that the process is complete.

It is also possible to block incoming calls from a specific person. Hold the Sphere in one hand to establish contact, then tap its surface twice with the other while clearly speaking the name of the person you wish to block. To remove the block, simply repeat the same procedure.

Thanks to their reliability and ease of use, Magic Denwa Orbs have made long-distance communication seamless throughout Myoo.

Even today, they remain among the continent’s most valued and widely used magical artifacts.

For those who wish to explore their origins in greater depth, the story of their creator is told in the short story Denwarin – The Magic Denwa Orb.
