The Garuna is one of the most common farm animals in the Empire of Myoo. Raised on farms, in agricultural villages, and throughout small rural settlements, it has been one of the population's primary sources of sustenance for centuries. So widespread is its presence that it has become an inseparable part of everyday life.
Its plumage ranges from creamy white to rich copper brown, often accented by subtle reddish tones along its back. It has a rounded, serrated comb, bright black eyes, a short but sturdy beak, and strong legs ending in three clawed toes—features that make it especially well suited to scratching through fields and farmyards in search of food.
The Garuna is a gentle, sociable animal that lives comfortably alongside humans. It spends much of the day foraging in small groups for seeds, insects, and other food, while remaining territorial toward other Garuna.
Raised primarily for its eggs and meat, it is valued throughout the Kingdom of Myoo for its dependable productivity. Its eggs, prized for their richer flavor, are considered a traditional staple of Myoo's cuisine. According to an old folk belief, a Garuna's call at sunset brings good fortune to the household where it is heard.
