The Kurogari is a magical bird found throughout the regions of Myoo. It favors rocky mountains, ancient ruins, and forest treetops, places where its natural traits allow it to pass almost unnoticed.
Its plumage is entirely black, but in the moonlight, its feathers reflect subtle shades of violet and blue. Its eyes, also dark, seem capable of piercing even the deepest darkness. Its blue beak, sharp and slightly curved, allows it to break small objects or retrieve fragments from them.
Highly intelligent, the Kurogari possesses an extraordinary ability to blend into the foliage, allowing it to remain effectively hidden even during the day. Its flight is completely silent, and it can travel many leagues without needing to land, traits that make it particularly well suited for reconnaissance.
By nature, it is extremely wary and rarely allows anyone to approach. If trained, however, it develops a deep loyalty to its master and remains strongly attached to them.
The Kurogari’s call is often interpreted as an omen, and many peoples of Myoo fear it, regarding it as a harbinger of misfortune.
