Accepted across every territory of the Empire, it allows merchants, artisans, and travelers to conduct business without the need for barter or currency exchange.
The monetary system consists of three denominations: copper Lumin for everyday purchases, silver Lumin for goods of greater value, and gold Lumin for major transactions and significant fortunes.
Although the coins have undergone subtle design changes over the centuries, each retains the same recognized value throughout the continent, making trade simple, secure, and reliable even between kingdoms separated by vast distances.
The Imperial Mints produce Lumin according to strict standards of weight and metal purity. Altering or counterfeiting a coin is considered a serious crime and is punished severely throughout Myoo.
The name Lumin reaches back to the continent's earliest history. It originates from the ancient Kingdom of Luminara, one of the most influential civilizations in Myoo's history, which endured until the middle of the Fifth Era. It was during that time that the First Senshi Mage, seeking to establish a more effective system of governance, divided the continent into ten states and placed Narashin at the head of the new political order. Although the kingdom disappeared centuries ago, the name of its currency survived the passage of time and remains the official currency used throughout the continent today.
Even now, the Lumin remains one of the enduring symbols of Myoo's economic unity, accompanying merchants, soldiers, innkeepers, and travelers in their daily lives.
