Seer Mages possess the rare ability to perceive the flow of time. Their magic cannot alter its course, only reveal the events that lie within it, allowing them to look into both the past and the future. It is one of the oldest and most mysterious forms of magic ever known in Myoo, its origins lost to the passage of the Ages.
The oldest chronicles offer no record of when seer magic first emerged. It predates many of the events preserved in history, and no surviving account identifies the first mages to wield this extraordinary gift.
Until the beginning of the Sixth Era, Seer Mages could enter the flow of time without the aid of any magical artifact. Whenever they experienced a vision, their eyes turned completely white, a visible sign that their consciousness had reached beyond the present to witness events from the past or the future. In that state, they became wholly absorbed in the vision itself.
As magic gradually weakened across every magical discipline throughout the Ages, seer magic also lost much of its original power. Seer Mages could no longer perceive the flow of time through their natural abilities alone, making it necessary to rely on an artifact capable of strengthening their gift.
To preserve this ancient discipline, the Kamisu Basin was created—an ancient magical artifact designed to channel and amplify seer magic. Through the silvery liquid it contains, Seer Mages can still connect to the flow of time, reclaiming a portion of the abilities their predecessors once possessed naturally.
In the Ninth Era, the Kamisu Basin remains the foundation of seer magic. Without it, this ancient discipline would have faded into nothing more than a distant memory from an age when magic flowed through Myoo with far greater strength than it does today.
Seer Mages are among the oldest practitioners of magic in Myoo. Once able to witness both the past and the future with nothing more than their own eyes, they now rely on the Kamisu Basin to preserve their ancient art. In the Ninth Era, this magical artifact continues to amplify their power, allowing them to glimpse the flow of time once more.
