The gurenma is a legendary creature, widely regarded as the most feared beast on the continent of Myoo. It dwells in the darkest gorges, the most remote valleys, and the deepest mountain chasms—places where even the fiercest predators dare not roam.
Its immense size surpasses that of every other known beast, including the dreaded doshimaru. Its massive body is covered in dark, rugged hide that resembles volcanic rock, while its blazing eyes glow in the darkness like smoldering embers. Two enormous curved tusks extend from either side of its jaws, and a jagged mane, shrouded in drifting steam and curling smoke, runs the length of its spine, giving it an even more terrifying appearance.
Its four powerful legs end in claws as long as swords.
A deep, rumbling breath pours from its enormous jaws, echoing like the roar of a volcano. Legend says the haunting sound can be heard from miles away.
Solitary and ruthless, the gurenma is driven by more than instinct alone. Possessing remarkable intelligence, it patiently observes every intruder, studying each movement before striking with deadly precision. Fiercely territorial, it attacks without hesitation anyone reckless enough to cross into its domain.
Very few claim to have seen a gurenma and survived the encounter. To many throughout Myoo, it has become little more than a legend. Yet in the mountain regions, there are still valleys where no traveler dares to venture, and where, after nightfall, the earth is said to tremble beneath the footsteps of something immense. Some even swear they have heard its breath echo through the silent mountains long before its colossal silhouette emerged from the darkness.
