During the Sixth Era, the western kingdoms attacked the eastern kingdoms, beginning the longest war ever fought in Myoo. The conflict engulfed entire generations, devastating the continent and drawing in soldiers, mages, and civilians. The Senshi Mages, whose purpose was to preserve the balance, found themselves fighting alongside soldiers, trying to contain destruction that grew harder to stop with each successive battle. The war lasted so long that even the oldest people had stopped wondering how it had begun.
First Senshi Mage Ryota brought the conflict to an end by gathering the Senshi Mages from every region and unleashing such power that the kings were forced to lay down their arms. His intervention took the rulers by surprise. Terrified, they accepted the invitation to come to Chushin to discuss the terms of surrender, knowing that anyone who refused would be considered a threat.
The meetings took place in the central square of the half-destroyed city. The negotiations lasted months. During the talks, Ryoku Torai was elected emperor, and the Council of Nine Mages ceded power to him, marking the transition from rule by the mages to imperial authority.
It was agreed that each kingdom would retain its independence. Narashin would host the new ruler. The emperor’s duty was to oversee compliance with the agreed terms and ensure that no kingdom failed to honor its commitments.
The Seer Mages remained in Chushin to help the emperor monitor the flow of time and verify that the kingdoms honored their agreements. During the negotiations, Jin insisted that the Shōmashi Mages move to its territory, making this a condition of the settlement. The kingdoms retained their autonomy under imperial oversight.
One provision of the agreement also required the Senshi Mages to leave the empire. Before departing, they rebuilt Chushin with their magic and relocated to the Mikai Lands, territories claimed by no kingdom and difficult to reach without their magic.
Their departure marked the beginning of a lasting separation, while the kingdoms faced the consequences of a war that had ravaged Myoo for generations.
