The Ancient Kingdom Beyond the Mujin Desert

Yamikesh

Beyond the vast Mujin Desert lies the kingdom of Yamikesh, a land that remained hidden from the history of Myoo for centuries. Most of the continent’s inhabitants never knew it existed, and only a handful of people living along the borderlands knew what lay beyond the endless sea of sand. Shielded by the desert’s natural barrier, this ancient kingdom developed in isolation from the events that shaped Myoo, preserving its traditions, knowledge, and culture unchanged through the Ages.

The origins of Yamikesh date back to the Second Age, when the first great civilizations began to emerge. Since then, the kingdom has prospered without ever forging lasting ties with the western continent, becoming a land shrouded in mystery and known only through ancient legends and the rare accounts of travelers.

At the heart of the kingdom stands Amaravati, its capital and the political, administrative, and commercial center of the region. From here, Yamikesh is governed, and trade flows between the many communities scattered across its lands, making the city the kingdom’s beating heart.

Far to the east rise the majestic Seizan Mountains, a range revered as sacred since ancient times. Nestled among their towering peaks stands Ananteshwar Temple, one of the two ancient temples entrusted with safeguarding the focal points of magic. Within its walls reside the Mage Priests, guardians of knowledge preserved through the Ages and keepers of secrets unknown to nearly everyone in Myoo. Protected by the kingdom’s natural isolation, the temple continues its sacred duty far from the eyes of the world, preserving a legacy that reaches back to the earliest days of history.

Even today, Yamikesh remains one of the most enigmatic places in the known world. To many, it is little more than a legend—a lost kingdom beyond the Mujin Desert. Yet behind that veil of isolation lies one of the oldest and most important lands in the history of Myoo, safeguarding traditions and knowledge that have endured across the Ages.
